A.J. beat up Madsen and he's in the hospital with a broken leg. I'm at the end of my rope. Don't make it worse by having sex with Arianna, I can't handle that right now. Sam will be home soon.

Aunt Carly



I can respect that. I'm not going to listen to her, but I can respect her feelings towards the situation. "Aunt" Carly told me not to call her that sometime last year. She claimed that I was too old and she was too young. Carly's just using our blood relation to try and keep me from seeing Arianna. I can't remember the last time she sent a text message to anyone. The prospect of her nephew dating her boyfriend's younger sister must be getting to her. My policy on this is the same as my policy on everything that has to do with Carly. In time, she'll accept it. Carly doesn't have an immediate positive reaction to anything. She assumes the worst without hoping for the best, and ends up aggravating a lot of her friends in the process. I admire her conviction, but I'm not about to ignore Arianna because we make her uncomfortable. She'll change her mind eventually.

In the meantime, I should call Arianna and see how she is. We agreed to call each other, but that was when she showed up on campus to see me. It's my turn; I should do it now in case I don't have time for it later. I have a paper to write that I've been putting off. Once I get it done I could take her somewhere, but until then, she'll have to be alright with the phone call and my word that I'm going to make time for her in the near future.

I wonder if I should send flowers over this. Arianna might not be mad,and then the flowers could be too much. Prematurely sending something might create more problems than my current schedule. I'll ask Sam when he gets back.

...On second thought, I just won't do it. I'll save the flowers thing for when I know she's pissed at me. I doubt Sam has ever bought Carly flowers, and they fight over everything.

I deleted the text message and got Arianna's number out of my contact list. I'll learn it once I've called her a few times. Lucky for me she answered on the second ring. The existing guilt would get worse if I went another day without talking to her.
